 THE PACKAGE: The 7 Most Significant Days in Life – Genesis 2:7

Today you are entering into a new season of your life – the season of significance. Seven is popularly referred to as the number of perfection. And I see God perfecting all that concerns you as you read through and assimilate this message. I prophesy over you that the anointing that will make your destiny significant rest upon you now. Your destiny will be significant and the plan of God for your life will not be thwarted – you will not miss the mark in the name of Jesus.

Your journey to significance starts now.

Let’s delve into the 7 most significant days of your life:

Day 1: Creation (Genesis 1:1-2). The first most significant day of your life was the day you were fashioned, formed and sent into this world to make a difference (Genesis 2:7, Jer. 1:5). You are not a mistake or an accident. You are a product of the word of God and the handiwork of grace. The point is the source of every product should dictate its conduct. If you desire to maximize your life – use the word. When you live by the higher decree you will reach higher degrees in life. And I pray for you that from today you are going higher in the name of Jesus.

Day 2: Illumination (Genesis 1:3-6). This is the second most important day of your life. The day you received light; when you are finally delivered from the power and influence of the kingdom of darkness. This is when you begin to see things the way God sees them – with divine eyes (Eph. 1:17-18). I pray for you that your spiritual eyes and mind be opened, may your heart become and remain receptive, may you encounter the power of God right away, you will not end up in damnation and may your joy know no bounds in the name of Jesus.

Day 3: Order (Genesis 1:9-13). This is the third most significant day of your life. The day your life falls in to order and begins to take a normal and formal shape. When a man’s life is not in order he is bound to suffer disorder. Is your life disorderly? You need the anointing for order. Pray with me: Father, let the anointing for order come upon my life, family, academics/business/career and let my destiny turn around for the better. Our God is a God of order (1 Cor. 14:40). I pray for you, everything about your life will take shape in the name of Jesus.

Day 4: Separation (Genesis 1:4, 15-16). This is the fourth most significant day of your life. Separation is the best form of preparation. It is the mark of distinction. On your journey to living a holy life you will have to travel through the path of separation (2 Cor. 6:17, Isaiah 52:11). Separation is the key to operating a holy life. This is the day you summoned enough courage to shame the devil and his co-laborers that you mistake for friends (what some people coined as ‘frenemies’) and dare to be different, distinct and distinguished. This is that day in your life when you authoritatively and blatantly refused to be like others and reject being a stooge and subjugate to the ‘virulent’ system of the world – when you eventually choose to live the way God called and ordained you to live. The day of separation is when you finally make up your mind to mind the things of God and bind the things of the devil.

God can make your life more useful than when you are on your own living as a prostitute or an ‘aristo’, a thief, a yahoo-plus specialist, an armed robber, a witch or a wizard, given to fornication and adultery and an idolater. He can make a message out of your mess. It is only God that can make the right and best use of you; others only want to use you and dump you. Pick-up your life again – refuse to be used and dumped!

Day 5: Magnification (Genesis 1:20-22 & 28,). This is the fifth most important day of your life. This is the day your destiny begin to speak and rise – (The Lord said to Joshua this day will I begin to magnify you… Joshua 3:7). I pray for someone reading this that irrespective of your challenges and adversaries, your destiny will speak, your voice shall be heard in the ends of the earth and you will rise above and beyond your limitation(s) in the name of Jesus. Don’t give up; your time of change is sure to come!

Day 6: Identification (Genesis 1:26). This is the sixth most significant day of your life. This is the day you discover your true identity. A man without an identity is a nonentity. Do you truly know who you are? You are a child of God – that’s your true and superior identity. You need Jesus to be a complete person and you will always need him (Col. 2:10, John 15:5). When the life of Christ is not in you, you are living a low and an incomplete life. For your life to make eternal-sense there is need for you to identify with God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. It is when you know your identity that you can partake of the goodness of God in a way that will bring him glory (Genesis 1:31, Mal. 1:6).

Day 7: Rest (Genesis 2:2-3). This is the seventh most significant day of your life – the day of rest. I prophesy over you that the Lord will give you rest from all your troubles in the name of Jesus. In the seventh day God rested from all his labor; so also God will give you rest in the name of Jesus. You will not spend the year on the sick bed and you will not die before your time (Isaiah 10:27). Above all you will live to experience and enjoy the free, true, and eternal blessing of our God in the mighty name of Jesus – Amen! Matthew 11:28

 THE PACKAGE 2: The 7 Common Symptoms of a Fake Prophet/Teacher and a Sick Church

“And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many”. Matthew 24:10-11 (KJV)

This is about you.

All we need is the truth. All we will ever and always need is the truth. The way of freedom is the truth. If you want to be free, know and live by the truth. If you want your generation to be free, keep telling them the truth. The truth is more powerful than the bullet; because while the bullet may destroy a life, the truth can save a generation (John 8:32). Anyone lying to you in the name of making you feel good is wicked and he/she is partnering with the devil to destroy your future (John 8:44.) Do you want to be completely free at all? Go for the truth and nothing less!

If God is not a man then man cannot be God – Numbers 23:19. The reason why a church will be sick is either the minister over it is false or the members are rebellious.

Now to the 7 common symptoms of a ‘junky’ minister and his sick followers:

1. The Money Mandate Ministry (MMM):

“But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not” – (2 Peter 2:1-3 KJV). The love for money has the potency to hinder the flow of the real gospel of Christ – (see 1 Corinthians 9:12).

The word of God has said it all. I have nothing more to say on this.

  1. Diabolically Inclined Operation: The miraculous does not have to be diabolical or magical in nature for it to be real and effective. Every miracle is rooted in the word of God and there is no miracle outside the word of God (Psalm 107:20). Sometimes you find it difficult to decipher between a witch doctor/an herbalist (baba-alowo) and a prophet because they have turned ‘pro-balist (woli-alawo)’. Well, at least they have a mentor in Simon the sorcerer (Acts 8:9-25). Tragic and barbaric, isn’t it? This form of vague modus operandi always encourages false miracles and fictitious testimonies.
  2. Wrong Use of Scriptures: “Unlike so many, we do not peddle the word of God for profit. On the contrary, in Christ we speak before God with sincerity, as those sent from God” (2 Cor. 2:17, NIV). There are those sent by God and there are those sent by mammon; the way to know them is in their use of the word. The scripture defines the picture of the future of a believer. When a child/man of God is twisting the scripture he is twisting his future. When you major in twisting the life out of the scripture, you are only twisting the life out of your future. How do you treat the scripture then? Just do what it says without helping it to say something else that is not there – “His mother said to the servants, “Whatever He says to you, doit.” (John 2:5).
  3. Undue Emphasis on Curses: This is repugnant in it entire sense. You can’t afford to put the people’s misery above the Master’s mystery (Mark 4:11). All you hear today is generational, regional and all sorts of curses. But why not let’s dwell on the blessing (Genesis 1:28) the evidence of our divine inheritance (Acts 20:32) in Christ. I believe in the blessing and nothing less. Are curses real? Yes sir! But the emphasis is deafening. Point the people to Christ and their crisis will crash. Get them rooted in the word and the works of darkness shall be uprooted. If you cast out all the devils (curses) in this world and live the world empty (without the word), then prepare for something worse – Matthew 12:45, Luke 11:26. But when you plant the right seed even if the weeds appear, a great harvest is still sure; because the word will outlive the enemy (Exodus 14:13-14, Matthew 13:24-30, Mark 13:31). The church is fond of putting the cart before the horse and in the long run everything will capsize. You can make a difference by believing, saying and doing the right thing from today. Free yourself from the clutches of the ‘curse-doctrine’ and settle for the blessing-mandate.

Declare with me – I am blessed!

  1. Self Righteousness: We are the ones doing the right thing is their popular slogan. I am doing better than some of you who call yourselves ‘born-again’ once asserted an unbeliever. Shame! But can one blame them, is it not because the church is sick and some of the physicians are false? Something has to change – we have to believe right, celebrate God and not self or denomination. Come to think of it, denominationalism has done more harm to the body of Christ than good except for those who have been able to break away from its hold. As a pastor I and my family have sown into churches we don’t literally attend, paid rents for churches I don’t pastor and even more – that’s the idea. God first and nothing after!
  2. Weak Members: These days when you measure the depth of most church members they are as empty as the shell of a snail. No power, no love and no soundness. In a nutshell, there is no balanced word, no real change and no trustworthy life! All they know is praying against curses, how to say a few selfish prayers or at their best clamoring for prosperity. The Bible calls them wells without water (2 Peter 2:17). They are weak members with maligned view of the word of God and a riotous and tumultuous lifestyle with ravaging influence. Little wonder why the world has crept into the church and the church is losing relevance in the world. We trust God for better days ahead (John 2:10).
  3. Counterfeits: They are neither here or there – anything and everything goes. They are in the night club today and tomorrow in the night vigil all they need is a connection that can guarantee their collection and protection not their salvation or stability in/of faith. They connect to collect only. And once they get what they want the church can close and reopen when next they have a dreadful need in their lives – that’s why they move from mountains to mountains as if their God lives on the mountain and from prayer meetings to prayer meetings without a life changing encounter with God. Just as you have counterfeit currencies there are counterfeit Christians (mere miracle seekers). How do men treat counterfeits? They reject them – so also God.

Three Actions You Must Take To Retrace Your Steps:

  1. Repent Quickly: If you want to spend your eternity with Christ irrespective of who you are you will have to repent of your wrong borne out of your greed for earthly riches and lust for fame. Acts 17:30-31
  2. Realign Immediately: Let go of the ‘curse-doctrine’ and lay hold of the blessing. Remind yourself and your followers of the finished work of Christ (John 19:30) and emphasize on the blessing (Gen. 1:28, 12:2, 22:17, Ex. 23:25, Num. 6:22-27, Ps. 1:1-3, 45:2, Prov. 10:22, Eph. 1:3).
  3. Reconstruct Speedily: It is time to reconstruct your life/ministry without delay and focus more and absolutely on what matters without necessarily losing sight of that which is ephemeral (1 Cor. 9:24-27, Matthew 6:33, Luke 11:42).

THE WINNING DECISION – Deuteronomy 30:15-20

The all time winning decision is the right decision. A man that will win in life must be able to make the right decision. A man’s decision is a function of his choices in life. Whatever decision you make per time (good or bad) will show in your choice of things. You are a product of your choices.

Whatever you do or didn’t do on earth, become in life or didn’t become in life is a matter of your decision: the decision to or not to. If you decide to make something work it will work and vice versa. Your distinction in life is a matter of your determination which is premised upon your decision.

Five thoughts about life from the above scripture:

  1. All kinds of things happen in this world. You name it; good and bad together.
  2. One of the greatest rights of man in life is the right to choose.
  3. Our choices have effect: A very good choice would mean life and a bad choice would give birth to chaos.
  4. There is a way our choices affects others.
  5. In life changes occur: Things/Times change and so do people.

Let’s consider the seven most important decisions that would shape your life forever:

  1. The God You Choose to Serve (Joshua 24:15): This is the ultimate decision a man can make; the choice to serve God or something else. But if I will counsel you, I will tell you to decide today to follow through with God, as your decision to follow and stick to God would positively and meaningfully change your life forever.
  2. The Man/Woman You Choose to Marry (1Kings 11:4): This is an area of your life that has the potential to shape your life. You are the way you are because of your choice of marriage. Your present pleasure or pressure in marriage is as a result of your past choice of whom to marry. If you are yet to make this decision I celebrate you because you still have a chance – A chance to look again and think twice. If your marriage is in pieces it is a matter of your choice. You must understand that a right choice or wrong choice of marriage would be a tool: A right choice of marriage would be a tool in the hand of God but a wrong choice of marriage would be a tool in the hand of the devil.
  3. The Kind of Work You Settle for (Genesis 3:3-11): Your profession has a way of shaping your life. What you choose to do and how you go about it would greatly affect your life. Once you decide on what to do for a living you have directly or indirectly choosing a path that will positively or negatively change your life forever. Your profession could be the lead-way to your possession or obsession in life.
  4. The Place You Decide to Reside (Gen. 13: 9-12, Ruth 1:1-5): The place you live has a way of shaping your way of life. Where you decide to live may mean that you lose all you’ve laboured for (think about Lot in Sodom and Naomi in Moab); it could also mean you gain more in life (think of Isaac in Rehoboth and Israel in Canaan-land.). I pray that the Lord will order your step and preserve you for the rest of your life.
  5. The Association/Company You Decide to Keep (Psalm 1:1, 1Cor. 15:33): The circle you decide to join or keep will tell on your life. The basis of what forms your group is what will prosper or damage the group depending on what they live for. If you choose a gang your life is likely to hang.
  6. The People You Decide to Bless (Gen. 12:2, Matt. 25:34-36): There are a handful of selfish irreverent people out there without recourse for human feelings. The reason God blessed you is for you to be a blessing to other people. Your life is not fulfilled by living for yourself alone; it is more enjoyable when you become a blessing to others. You can choose to be a blessing to the sick, the orphans & widows, those in prison and the poor in general.
  7. The Decision on Change – deciding your next course of action: If things will change for the better you will have to change first. Decide to change, decide forward! The best decision you will ever make that can shape your life meaningfully and forever is to decide to change for the better. How do you change? Start with your way of thinking. “The world as we created it is a process of our thinking. It cannot be Changed without changing our thinking” – Albert Einstein. Hang your anger! Bury your pride and ego. Nail your hates. Crucify the flesh! If you can change, the chain will break. It’s no news that there are people living their daily lives in chain – to poverty, addiction, inferiority complex, other people’s opinion (OPO), and many other unthinkable social vices. One ‘stroke’ of change can save one of many years of chains. For every cause you choose to live for there is a change you will have to make.

You can change your ways today. If you can’t bear the curse anymore, change your course!

Four ways to making a right decision:

  1. Start with what matters to God (Matt. 6:33, 1Tim. 6:6): Whatever you want to do that does not matter to God is dangerous, don’t try it. In case you are now in a deep mess as a result of poor decisions in the past, God can sort you out. Run to Jesus and stay with him. The best way to make a good decision is to start with God and the sure way to unmake a poor decision is to run to God.
  2. Search for peace (Ps. 34:14, 1 Peter 3:11): Stick with what will not hurt you. You can make good decisions by adopting what I’ll like to call ‘the harmless principle’ – Let nothing hurt you! Luke 10:19. As a lady or young man never settle for a partner that will harm you. I say never!
  3. Seek the good of others (Matt. 22:39, Gal. 6:7). Life answers to seed principle. You’ll end up making better decisions in life when you look out for the good of your fellow brother. What you sow is what you reap – it is not a prayer, it is a principle.
  4. Seek for right counsel (Prov. 11:14, 24:6): One way to make good decision is to seek good counsel. Counsel is the available option for a better or worse decision-making. A very good counsel would win a war; however, a poor counsel would damage even the best of plans. Seek good counsel! It will lessen your thinking burden and save you of possible error.

Receive grace to make the right decision today. God bless you!

Sermon: BE STRONG! – Ephesians 6:10-18

To be strong is to allow God to act on your behalf (to Let Go and Let GOD) – 2 Chron. 16:9. For by strength shall no man prevail – 1 Sam. 2:9.

Background to this message:

1. There are times when it seems you have come to the end of yourselve – Jesus, Matt. 27:38-39

2. …when nothing seems to work – 1Kgs 18:43

3. …when it appears you have lost everything – David, 1Sam. 30:1-4

4. …when you are left alone – Joseph in a strange land. Gen. 37:23-24, 39:1, 20

5. …when you perceive the danger of being weak (not being strong): you give up, you breakdown & go down! Lk. 9:62

In all this, the word of God says – BE STRONG! Why?

> You need it: being strong is what you need and you have it only in the Lord. Deut. 6:24

> You are in a battle field – at least the fight of your faith. 1Tim. 6:12

> You are in a spiritual world – Eph. 6:12

> You are not a lone in this fight; someone else needs you – the body of Christ. You are useful to God. 2Cor. 1:4, 1Thess. 5:11

What you need to be strong – Eph. 6 vv.13-18:

1. You need God. Get GOD involved. It requires a genuine (well rooted) relationship with the Lord. It starts with your salvation. How God makes his people strong – 2Chron. 16:9.

a. His unending commitment to their increase – Ps. 105:24. today the Lord would increase you.

b. He is actively involved in their troubles – Ps. 46:1.

c. He has a permanent interest in their well-being – Ex. 23:25, 3Jn.2. It is God that has kept you strong and healthy.

d. By answering their prayers – 2Chron. 7:14, Jer. 33:3, Matt. 7:7. He is always there to grant your request even every thoughts of your heart are not hidden from him.

2. Kingdom life – righteousness. Matt. 6:33

3. Ability to witness – it is your duty to tell others about Him.

4. Impregnable faith: faith is what helps you to build relationship with God and you need it to please God.

5. The word made sword: when the word of God in your heart becomes a sword in your hand.

6. A committed life of prayer.

Benefits of being strong:

1. Battle ready – Ps. 144:1

2. Grace to stand – 2Cor. 12:9

3. Anointing to dislodge the enemy(ies) -Is. 10:27

Pastor Peter …enriching lives!

A LIFE OF PRAYER (1)

I. Prayer Defined:

God speaks to men through His word. Prayer is one major avenue we have to speak to God. Prayer is the faith alive on our inside. It is the building block of healing, deliverance, power, grace, the anointing, confidence and boldness in Christ, gifts and fruit of the Holy Spirit; and the link between you and heaven.

Prayer happens to be the only path to further understanding of scriptures. Prayer is the key to utterances. In fact it’s the sure way to use the key of the kingdom of heaven which Jesus first handed down to Apostle Peter and then to us. Obviously, it stands to be the only force that resists the forces of darkness, the believer’s way of exercising authority here on earth, and a militant way of issuing command and the most salient matter of the heart (James 5:16).

Prayer is another major way to bear the burden of others. It is more of a secret act and a sure means of expressing ‘secret love’ for souls unconditionally: I mean the first way to reach the unreached. It is the headquarters of power through which we can contact heaven to impact the earth; a laid down principle to obtain help for eathen vessels. Prayer is equipment for spiritual exercise that births immeasurable benefits. It is also an instrument through which we can link the throne of grace for forgiveness and awake the regime of revival. One of the acts that continues when every others stop.

Pray without ceasing when you see the need to pray. If perhaps you do not see the need to pray, then pray without fainting. E. M. Bounds wrote, “Praying is as important as breathing.” So as you breathe, pray. For through prayer we conquer!

It’s the only way to establish God’s will and bid His kingdom come. So, you see why prayer is my all.

II. The Seven Keys to Answered Prayer

I once defined prayer thus: Prayer is telling God about a situation as it is, and expecting the solution to come as it should be. Whatever it is tell it to God raw, and He will deliver it to you once refined. That’s my thought pattern today; that our prayers normally go through some refining process before God.

Meanwhile, I’ll like to share with you what I’ve termed the seven elements of prayer.

One, purity (Prov. 15:18, John 9:31): Prayer is more enjoyable when said out of a pure heart. To be pure at heart is as good as having a cure for a dreaded disease. Today make your heart right with God and say a prayer over a long standing issue in your life, the result you will get will amaze you.

Two, faith (Heb. 11:6): Without faith it is impossible to please God. It also applies that without faith prayer is void of answers. We need faith to be able to move from the impossible look of our need, to the possible outcome of prayer.

Three, fervency/passion: Do you think the need in your life requires urgent attention? Then make your prayer fervent. Add to your prayer some height of passion, some degree of fervency; I mean some sort of spiritual energy.
That way, you are on your way to answered prayers.

Four, joy (Isaiah 12:3): Being bitter in prayer doesn’t make you any better. Jesus said… pray until your joy is full (John 16:24.) You don’t pray to become bitter, you pray to get to a joyous realm.

Five, humility (Luke 18:9-14): Humility is vital to answered prayers – James 4:6. The time of prayer is not the time to boast, it is the time to bow your heart.

Six, peace: You wage war in prayer to bring peace home. After praying the next thing that should follow is outright peace (calmness.) Be anxious for nothing… through prayer make your request known. And I will give you peace… (Phil. 4:6-7.)

Lastly, thanksgiving (John 11:41, 1Thess. 5:18): A praying life should be a thankful life. Always learn to thank God for what he has done, what he is doing and what he will do.

I know God want to do something new in your life that’s why He will have me share this with you. Today take time out and pray through your situation. Every situation has a solution and yours is definitely not an exemption. Pray in purity and by faith, adding some energy and humility to get joy and the peace of God; all from a thankful and graceful heart.

Pray! Pray for yourself and family!! Pray for your generation!!!

THE MISSING CHILD

Have you ever lost something in your life; a possession or property, a job/career, a vision or an appointment, an opportunity or a blessing – I mean anything and how do you feel? That’s the millenium question I desire to ask my generation: how do you feel not having Jesus or losing your salvation, calling or ministry?
There are a lot more people missing out in life because something is missing in their life. What season are you in right now? Don’t you think you are missing a major thing.
A Minor Miss (earthly loss): A lot of things get missing in this world everyday. What ever you miss/lose in this world is little. Do you know people die everyday? That people die daily is not even the key thing, the key thing is do they have the Life.
The Major Miss (eternal loss): In your journey in life have you left Jesus behind? To live and to continue life without Jesus is a major miss. If you have Jesus and miss other things you will still have them somehow (Matt. 6:33); but if you have other things and miss Jesus you have missed everything. A lot of people would leave Jesus behind right after church service or a crusade hoping that someone else would take him along and most times nobody does. Why do people miss Jesus:
1. When we live for mere  programmes: Christians everywhere must come to remember that the essence of programmes is Jesus and not the other way round. Christianity is not a life of many programmes but a life based on kingdom principles, we may have all the programmes in the world but when we fall short of His principles we miss the mark. We have a lot of christians struggling with their faith because the church today is busy and fond of entrenching church programmes while ‘retrenching’ His principles. But the latter should be placed above the former.
2. When we live life in a hurry: Where exactly are we rushing to. Can you just pause and ask yourself this question. Why the rush?
3. When we put our hope in humans. We miss Jesus when we hope others would do for us what we should do for ourselves and what only God can do for us (so instead of looking up to Jesus we start looking ‘down to men.’) This is living life on assumption. Stop assuming! Double check your life and be sure you’ve got Jesus on board (2 Cor. 13v8.)
4. When we are carried away by the system of this world: Men have decided to build a system that they think can stand without the Word/Jesus. When you live by the principles of this world you will kick against divine principles and doing that you will miss out on Jesus.
5. When we live a complicated life (you’re neither here nor there): I’ve heard people say I believe in every ‘religion.’ In other words they are everywhere – such people would end up missing Jesus because they are confused in life (they don’t know what to believe.) Complication is the mother of confusion and confusion is the mother of loss.
Areas in which Jesus could be missing
1. In the life of an individual
2. In a group/gathering
3. In a family/lineage/generation
4. In a mission/agenda
5. In a set-up/business
Is Jesus in where you belong or in what you do?
Finding Jesus: for you to have Jesus in your life you must quickly discover and admit that He is missing in your life.
• IN THE FATHER’S HOUSE: I can assure you of one place to find Jesus and that is in His Father’s house; anywhere the genuine gospel is preached, where the word of God is supreme and highly placed above human prejudice and selfish interest and tendencies, where prayer is pure and righteousness is key – seek him there and you will find him.
